Parades, Markets, Etc.

Happy Spring!

The GW's paying the price for poor attic insulation
What a winter this was...the win goes to the ice dams with a shout out to the guys who climb up on roofs and steam them off when they start to melt and leak into your living room. And bathroom. And front hall.

The first meeting of the KDPGA will be happening soon but that doesn't mean you can't start preparing yourself mentally and emotionally for the growing season...Browse some seed catalogs! Go out and see if it's warm enough yet to actually smell the soil! Come by my house and haul away that rotting 2010 pumpkin in the front yard!

And be sure to mark your calendars for a couple of key events:

Friday, May 20: eveningish at the intersection of Kelly and Winnetka Heights Drive: Decorating the Tractor-Float for the Golden Valley Days Parade

Saturday, May 21: 8:30 a.m. same location: Jump on the Tractor-Float for a ride-in-style to the Golden Valley Days parade (we stop at Starbucks on the way and then participate in the parade...feel free to be in the parade or watch it: either way you are welcome to ride down there with us)

Sunday, June 26: Kick-off the new Golden Valley Farmer's Market...some of us from the KDPGA will be on hand that day to promote the event
